Alpha Team
Help Others Explore Life, Faith, and Meaning:
The Alpha Team will help introduce Alpha in a Catholic Context to our Family of Parishes and support the launch of our first Alpha experience beginning in January 2027. Working under the direction of the Alpha Planning Team, volunteers will help create a welcoming environment where participants can build relationships, ask questions, and explore the Christian faith. Alpha is designed as a series of gatherings over approximately 7-11 weeks and relies on dedicated volunteers who can warmly welcome guests, facilitate discussion, and help create an atmosphere of hospitality and encounter.
Volunteer openings: At least 12 team members needed
Ideal Candidate
This team is a great fit for parishioners who:
- Enjoy meeting new people and helping them feel welcome
- Have a heart for evangelization and accompanying others in faith
- Are comfortable facilitating conversation and listening to others
- Can foster respectful and engaging small-group discussions
- Desire to help create opportunities for people to encounter Jesus Christ
We are especially seeking volunteers interested in serving as emcees, table leaders, and discussion facilitators. Training and support will be provided prior to the launch of Alpha.
Time Commitment & Location
- Planning: Begins in late Fall 2026
- Meetings: As needed during the planning phase
- Program Dates: Beginning January 2027
- Schedule: Anticipated to be held on Saturdays
- Length: Approximately 7-11 weeks, plus preparation and training
- Location: Family of Parishes location(s) to be determined
